The busy Petone Lone Star Cafe & Bar is looking for a Senior Bar Staff  member to join our bar team for a minimum of 30 hours a week. 

The person we are looking for must be:

  • Bubbly
  • Friendly
  • Competent
  • Honest
  • Hard working
  • Punctual
  • Cocktail Experience
  • Sales driven and have a current LCQ and Duty Manager’s Certificate


The applicant needs to be a team player that leads by example and who loves the hospitality industry. They must have an eye for detail, have had their licence for a minimum of 2 years, can follow tried and proven systems and procedures and understands costings and labour controls.

Shift Leader/Manager

We are looking for a part time Shift Leader/Manager to join our Lone Star Petone team for a minimum of 30 hours a week.

The person we are looking for:

  • Must have a positive & pleasant attitude at all times.
  • Excellent with Communication
  • Pro-active in offering guidance and support to all staff
  • Constantly looking for areas of restaurant needing help and standing in when needed
  • Punctual and Conscientious
  • Able to follow procedures and be part of a team

 

In return you will receive induction and training on our total franchise systems including restaurant order of service, flexibility with hours and the chance to be a part of a fun team. This position is an immediate start.

  1. To maintain smooth, efficient and cost effective running of the Restaurant in all areas.
  2. To ensure that customers are given an awesome dining experience and are satisfied at all times. To create a hospitable, fun friendly environment that staff enjoy working in and guests enjoy visiting.
  3. To read and remain familiar with the Operations Manual and to follow, and ensure staff follow, all operations as specified in the Operations Manual.
  4. To ensure that staff hours are managed in accordance with business needs and to fit wage cost benchmarks as outlined in the Operations Manual.
  • Has experience and knowledge of working in a restaurant and understand the Lone Star Culture.
  • Must have LCQ and Managers Licence
  • Current First Aid Certificate is beneficial
